In the Old Testament, God made a Covenant with Israel saying, "If you listen carefully to the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, who heals you" (Exo. 15:26). For this reason, in Malachi we read, "Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me. "But you ask, 'How do we rob you?' "In tithes and offerings. You are under a curse—the whole nation of you—because you are robbing me. Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it" (Mal. 3:8-10). However, when the nation enters into evil, the roles are reversed, for when the nation of Israel lost fellowship with the Father, we read, "Then the Spirit of God came upon Zechariah son of Jehoiada the priest. He stood before the people and said, "This is what God says: 'Why do you disobey the LORD's commands? You will not prosper. Because you have forsaken the LORD, he has forsaken you.' " But they plotted against him, and by order of the king they stoned him to death in the courtyard of the LORD's temple" (2 Chron. 24:20-21). In other words, when we serve God, we are to prophecy that a nation ought to repent or suffer God's wrath. However, if we say this we will suffer persecution. Thus, Jesus said, "Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. "Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you" (Matt. 5:10-12). God wants to bless his children in this life, here and now and upon this earth. However, God also wants us to be willing to suffer while preaching a message of repentance.

I, therefore, cannot promise you that if you give to my ministry God will bless you, but I can promise you that he will want to bless you. However, if you end up suffering, Jesus said, "Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you", for in heaven, your reward will be great. But make no mistake, for Jesus said, "I tell you the truth..., no one who has left home or wife or brothers or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God will fail to receive many times as much in this age and, in the age to come, eternal life" (Luke 18:29-30). On one hand, this refers to when "All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they had. With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and much grace was upon them all. There were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned lands or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales and put it at the apostles' feet, and it was distributed to anyone as he had need" (Acts 4:32-35). The reason, in this life, we are to recieve many times as much as we left behind is because we are to be one with "all the believers". All that they have is to be ours, for "no one claimed that any of his possessions was his own." This speaks of great love, not great greed. For this reason, I do not want to promise great personal wealth and stir up greed in anybody in order to get them to give. Rather, Jesus said, "As you go, preach this message: 'The kingdom of heaven is near.' ... Freely you have received, freely give. Do not take along any gold or silver or copper in your belts; take no bag for the journey, or extra tunic, or sandals or a staff; for the worker is worth his keep" (Matt. 10:7-10). Freely they were given the Gospel, freely they were to give it away and freely they were to get it back from those who were to receive their message, for "the worker is worth his keep." This speaks of great love and great giving without even an ounce of greed. For this reason, Jesus overturned the tables of the money changers and said, "My house will be called a house of prayer,' but you are making it a 'den of robbers" (Matt. 21:13). I have no desire to sell any books and fill myself up with greed, for "no one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money" (Matt. 6:24). This is why Paul said, "Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, like men sent from God..., for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life" (2 Cor. 2:17, 3:6). In other words, when we peddle the word for money, the God we serve becomes the money, and when that happens, the ink kills as men and women are cut off from the life giving power of the Holy Spirit. My prayer is that there is a sincere love that this ministry can manifest and mature as we all grow in our faith together. I really do care about you who are wandering through this website and learning new and exciting things about God. I want your financtual support, for "the worker is worth his keep" (Matt. 10:7), but it is only in your knowledge that I would rather just have the ability to talk to each and every one of you . . . and see God's Word blossom in your heart and spark a fire of a desire to enter into a relationship with the Father, through Jesus Christ his son, and have therefore the hope of everlasting life in the light of the pearly gates and in the streets of gold.

With an undying love,

Gregory Alexander Badalian
